About this directory

This directory has some specific drivers and software we use for our retro computers.
It's sorted by operating system, as specific as possible.
This list isn't necessarily exhaustive, so some files may not have a description.

If you have a complaint about a file contained in this directory, reach out to us at team@mesalanius.com and we'll resolve it as soon as possible.

/Win9x

Files in this directory should apply to all Windows 9x operating systems (including Windows 95, 98, 98 Second Edition, and ME). It's possible some may not, but we try our best to keep it that way.

7z920.exe

This is the final version of 7-Zip File Manager to be supported by Windows 9x. It can be very useful for unpacking downloaded software.

81.98_forceware_win9x_international.exe

The last ForceWare revision for most GeForce cards on Windows 98 and ME. It supports cards up to and including the GeForce 6 series. We initially downloaded this to install the drivers for a GeForce 4 MX under Windows 98 on one of our Pentium III systems.

/Win9x/Win98SE

Files specific to Windows 98 Second Edition.

nusb33e.exe and nusb36e.exe

This is a USB mass storage driver for Windows 98SE, giving it support for USB flash drives, SD cards, external hard drives, and some other devices. It only supports English, and it will not work on Windows 98 RTM! I'm serious, don't install it on another version. It will break everything.

/WinNT

Files in this directory should apply to any Windows NT-based operating system, including Windows XP.

/WinNT/WinNT40

Files specific to Windows NT 4.0.

The final ForceWare revision for Windows NT 4.0.

sp6ai386.exe

This is the official Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 6a package for Intel systems, uploaded here for convenience.
